Windows Vista minimum system requirements…
Microsoft already disclosed some early system requirement details regarding Windows Vista. The first beta version of Windows Vista was released on Wednesday to more than 10,000 beta testers and the MSDN subscriber network.
Here are the estimated minimum system requirements for Windows Vista (previously codenamed Longhorn):
# 512MB memory or more
# A dedicated graphics card with DirectX 9.0 support
# A modern, Intel Pentium- or AMD Athlon-based PC.
However, the final system requirements will not be known until summer 2006 at earliest. Don’t worry if your system doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements, there’s still plenty of time to update your system as Vista is only expected to arrive by late 2006.

Factoid:
Time taken to process an n-word sentence is proportional to n^3, or more.
Cut the length in half, and you make it 8 times easier to read. (Maybe.)

لهجاتنا العربية غاية في ………………………………الفصاحة
شيئ عن لهجاتنا العربية المعاصرة
الأمة العربية كثيرة اللهجات ، فنرانا نواجه في كل بلد عربي نوعا منها وصنفا ، منها ما يقترب إلى الفصحى والفصيحة ” الفصحى يتقنها قليل من المثقفين والفصيحة يتقنها أغلبهم”، ومنها ما يتحول عن اللغة الأم إلى حد يلامس فيه لغة أجنبية أخرى ويتفاوت ذلك تبعا لأثر الإستعمار الذي تركه في أي بلد ،
وما أحاول بيانه هنا هو التغيرات الأصيلة في اللغة العربية ، التي لا تخرج اللهجة عن اللغة من حيث الأصول ، وهذا ما يدرس من باب الصوتيات في لغتنا العربية ، وتبلغ هذه التغييرات اربعة عشر تغييرا ، والتي سأذكر أهمها نسبة إلى شيوعها مع تعريف لها وبيان لأصولها وإليكم إياها :
الطمطمانية ، وهي ابدال (ال) إلى (أم) وأصلها من حمير ومثالها قول الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام ” هل من إمبر في إم صيام في إم سفر”
الإستنطاء: إبدال حرف(ع) إلى حرف (ن) وأصلها من هذيل وقيس وتميم ومثالها ” انطني شيئا من علم ” وأصلها بالفصحى ” أعطني”
العنعنة : وهي إبدال (أ) إلى (ع) وشاعت عند تميم وقيس وأسد ومثالها ” أشهد عنك رسول الله ” وأصلها ” أشهد أنك رسول الله.
الوكم (الاتباع) : ويكون في كسر الكاف التي قبلها ياء ومن الكلمات التي يجري فيها هذا النوع من التغيير ( اليكم) (فيكم)،،، وهلم جرّا.
الوتم :وهو مصطلح اطلقه علماء النحو على الحالة التي يتم فيها إبدال حرف (س) إلى ( ت ) وهي مما شاع عند قبائل اليمن ، فيلفظون ” النات ” قاصدين كلمة الناس في الفصحى .
الوهم : كسر الضمير (هم) وشاعت عند ربيعة ومثالها كل الكلمات التي تحوي ضميرا ، أو أي ضمير مفرد تنتقيه.
التلتلة : وتكون في كسر حروف المضارعة وهي ( ن ، أ ، ي ، ت ) وشاعت عند بهراء ، وهي شائعة جدا الآن عند البدو
الشنشنة : إبدال الكاف المطلفة شينا ، وتظهر الآن في فلسطين والأردن والعراق ومثالها ( لبيش اللهم لبيش)، في الدلالة على (لبيك اللهم لبيك).
الكشكشة : إبدال الكاف المؤنثة شينا وظهرت عند ربيعة ومضر ويكون لفظ هذه الكاف تماما كما يلفظ الحرف ” أتش ” باللغة الإنجليزية
الفخفخة : وهي إبدال حرف (ح) إلى حرف (ع) وشاعت في هذيل استعملتها قبيلة هذيل ومثالها ” اللعم الأعمر أعسن من اللعم اللعم الأبيض ” للدلالة على ” اللحم الأحمر أحسن من اللحم الأبيض. – شخصيا لا يعجبني أي منهما-
العجعجة : إبدال حرف (ي) إلى حرف (ج) عند الوقف وشاعت عند قضاعة وبني سعد فيلفظون كلمة تميمي ، تميمجّ.

Patriot Act (AntiArabs)
If you have an e-mail account with Yahoo, you’ll see many adds in your e-mail page. Technically, these adds will appear based on the IP address you are logging in from. If your IP address is from Mexico then Mexican related adds will appear and choke your page. Same situation will be for other countries.
I’m from Saudi Arabia. Recently, I’ve noticed that every time I login to my Yahoo e-mail account, the add below appears. This add talks about studying in USA. It is addressed in larg Arabic font.
What is going on?
For a while, after 11/9, most Arab and Muslim people were treated badly in the Stats. Every Muslim (especially if this person is Arabic) is treated as suspect. Hundreds of Saudi students have problems either with the FBI, local police or sometimes with local Americans.
Now they are asking us to consider going there to study after all of this! Is it now when they realized that they did big mistake by that or it’s because they need our money as well as oil?

بعض الأمثال العربية ومناسباتها
عَرَفَ الَّنــْخلُ أَهْلـَهُ
أصله أنّ عبد القيس وشنّ بن أفْعى لما ساروا يطلبون المتّسع والريف وبعثوا بالرواد والعيون ، فبلغوا هَجَر و أرض البحرين ومياها ظاهرة وقرى عامرة ونخلا وريفا ودارا أفضل وأريف من البلاد التي هم بها ; ساروا إلى البحرين وضاموا من بها من إياد والأزد وشدوا خيولهم بكرانيف النخل فقالت إياد: عرف النخل أهله، فذهبت مثلاً .
يضرب عند وكول الأمر إلى أهله
عِنْدَ النَّوَىْ يَكذِبُكَ الصَّادِقُ
قال المفضل : إن رجلا كان له عبد لم يكذب قط ، فبايعه رجل ليكذبه ، أي يحمله على الكذب ، وجعلا الخطر ” الرهان ” بينهما أهلهما ومالهما ، فقال الرجل لسيّد العبد : دعه يبت عندي الليلة ، ففعل، فطعمه الرجل لحم حوار ، وسقاه لبنا حليبا وكان في سقاء حازر ، فلما أصبحوا تحملوا ، وقال للعبد : الحق بأهلك ، فلما توارى عنه نزلوا ، فأتى العبد سّيدَه، فسأله ، فقال : أطعموني لحما لا غثا ولا سمينا ، وسقوني لبنا لا مخضاً ولا حقيناً ،وتركتهم وقد ظعنوا فاستقلوا . ولا أعلم أساروا بعد أو حلو ،وفي النوى يكذبك الصادق فأرسلها مثلا ، وأحرر مولاه مال الذي بايعهُ وأهله
يضرب للصدوق يحتاج إلى أن يكذب كذبة.
على الشرف الأقصى فأبعد
وهذا دعاء على الإنسان ، أي باعده اله وأسحقه. والشرف المكان العالي ، وأبعد : من بعد إذا هلك ، كأنه قال : اهلك كائنا أو مطلا على المكان المرتفع ،يريد سقوطه منه

We All Cry You Srebrenica
18,000 innocent people were killed in Bosnia for no reason. Kids, men, women, old, and young dragged into a mass grave then killed with cold blood.
I can’t imagine a picture of the scene. I immediately cry when I hear the voice of a child asking for help or a small girl screaming while she was raped.
وطفلة مثل حسن الشمس إذ طلعت ** كأنما هي ياقوت ومرجان
يقودها العلج للمكروه مكرهة ** والعين باكية والقلب حيران
لمثل هذا يبكي القلب من كمد ** إن كان في القلب إسلام وإيمان
I want to tell all Bosnians that I feel exactly that it’s my loss too. I remember them all the time and I cry. Crying will not get them back. I cry because I wasn’t there when they needed my help. I’m sorry, I can’t write more.

Robotism
Has any one seen the movie “I, Ropot” and how Will Smith was fighting robots to stop them from controling the globe? I think this movie, in somehow, was a prophecy that has started to become true.
Here is a contest in soccor game between robots teams. You can’t play unless you are a robot or a team manager.
Why can’t I play with them? This is robotism.
