Google’s April Fool?

I was reading about the new product by the leader company “Google” and expecting that I find this sentence at the end of it “This is not true. It is just April Fool.” In fact I didn’t find it. Instead, I found another link to explain more about this product which is a new “FREE” technology that connect you to the internet with very high speed that reachs 8MB per second.

أيقظ العملاق

وصلتني رسالة على جوالي ظهر اليوم فيها إعلان عن دورة أيقظ العملاق (المشي على الجمر) للدكتور فلان بن فلان.
اللذي قال أن “الجواب باين من عنوانه” قد صدق، لم أحتج إلى كثير من التفكير أو البحث حتى أعرف سبب العنوان اللافت الذي وصلني، فهو باختصار دورة في البرمجة اللغوية العصبية “NLP” يلقيها الدكتور فلان بن فلان.
سيتحدث الدكتور عن أن هناك عملاق في داخل كل شخص وكيف تستطيع إيقاظه والاستفادة من وجودة بداخلك ثم يختم الدورة أو المحاضرة بأن يمشي أحد أو بعض الحضور على الجمر وسيكون هذا هو الدليل على أن العملاق قد استيقض وبدأ في الصياح والبحث عن طعام لأنه نائم من وقت طويل.
كلام كلام كلام، هو ليس الوحيد اللذي يجعل الناس تمشي على الجمر بل ربما أصبحت هذه التقليعة موضة مبرمجي اللغة العصبية بأن ينهو محاضراتهم بهذا الشكل.
الاستنتاج:
إذا كان الأمر هو المشي على الجمر فالذهاب للسيرك سيكون أكثر متعة حيث أن لاعبي السيرك يجيدون إثارة الحضور أكثر من غيرهم لأن شغلهم الشاغل أن يحضرالناس مجددا فهم مصدر الرزق.
أما إذا كان المقصود أن المشي على الجمر قد يكون فعلا حطم القيود وأيقظ العملاق وأصبح الشخص لا يعيقه إلا السماء فلماذا لاعبي السيرك اللذين يجيدون المشي على الجمر أكثر من غيرهم لم يستطيعوا مغادرة السيرك ولم يخرج عملاقهم من قمقمه ولم تفتح لهم الآفاق؟
أنصح الجميع بأن لا يضيع أمواله بالذهاب للمشي على الجمر إلا إذا لم يجد حلبة سيرك في مدينته.

The Other

I was browsing the internet as usual. I always find something strange, unusual, funny, true, sad, good, bad, and some other odd things. Today, I opened a registration page of one of the websites I visited and found something odd.
As far as I know, people on earth are either male or female. I have never seen or heard of some one who isn’t male neither female. People have to be either male or female. In the picture below, you’ll find that they’ve put in the registration page under the gender selection an additional radio button for people who are not male or not female. They call it the other. What does that supposed to mean? is there another gender that I’m still not aware of? Or maybe they put it for people who still don’t know if they are male or female?
If there is other gender than male or female, I would really love to see this unusual creature and how it looks like.

Windows 95 - Ten Years today!

Ten years ago today (time flies when you’re having fun!) Windows 95 was released…!

Remember the advertisements with ‘Start me up’ by the Stones? Remember the minimum requirements? 386SX and 4Mb RAM!

This is actually the bootscreen of Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 released in 1996 with IE3 bundeld.

Happy anniversary Windows 95… But I’m glad we’re running XP and Vista now!

Timeline of WINDOWS.

Win3.1 - very few blue screens
Win95 - one big blue screen
Win98 - lots of blue screens
Win98SE - slightly fewer than lots of blue screens
WinME - freezes instead of giving blue screens
WinXP - few blue screens, actually recovers quite nice from a fatal error instead of giving a blue screen.
WinXP SP2 - very few blue screens, and recovers even better
WinVista - We’ll have to wait and see…
